Safeguarding
St Peter’s C.E. Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children and young people. We endeavour to provide an environment where pupils feel secure and are encouraged to talk and are listened to. We ensure that pupils know that there are adults in school who they can approach if they are worried or are in difficulty.

Values
We have six core Christian values which were chosen by the pupils, staff, parents/carers and governors. Everything we do at school is focused upon upholding our values and living them out in daily lives. Excellent pastoral care and guidance supports our pupils during their time at school, ensuring they have positive attitudes to their work, take responsibility for their actions and aspire to be the best they can be.
Parent Partnership We have a warm, friendly and welcoming ethos where the whole school community thrives on positivity, respect and openness. Communication is key in maintaining our strong partnership with parents/ carers and we encourage active involvement, engagement and a commitment by all of our families.
Learning Support and Inclusion
Every child matters. At times we may need to provide support for a child to access the curriculum or support their pastoral needs. Our dedicated teaching and support team ensures that each pupil is nurtured and challenged to be the best they can be. All staff work to ensure the inclusion of all pupils. We are committed to providing internal support and accessing external services where necessary to allow each pupil to fulfil their potential.
Achievement and Celebration
Achievement is actively celebrated in school through a variety of ways including class awards and termly achievement acts of worhip where we share our successes with parents. We encourage our pupils to share success from out of school activities and give them dedicated time to demonstrate their talents.
