About St Peter's CE Primary Academy
Unlocking the gates to achievement within the love of the Lord.
Care Together. Learn Together. Succeed Together. Be Thankful Together.
We are a school that believes in success for all. Care, thoughtfulness, respect and independence are all nurtured within St Peter’s C E Academy. We provide an environment where pupils are challenged and supported to achieve their full potential guided by Christian values.
St Peter’s Church of England Academy is ‘Voluntary Controlled’ and caters for both boys and girls between seven and eleven years of age.
Our school has a very long history, stretching back over three hundred years, beginning its life in the Chantry of St Peter’s Church in 1704.
The purpose built accommodation next to Manor School Sports College in Mountbatten Way is now the home to our school. We currently have 198 pupils on roll that enjoy a broad and balanced curriculum that leaves them well prepared for the secondary phase of their education.
The school has received numerous awards for its work including:
- School Games Gold Mark
- RE Quality Silver Mark
- Healthy Schools award
- Active Young Citizens Award
- Activemark for Exceptional Delivery of PE and Sport
