About St Peter's CE Primary Academy
Our school vision is ‘LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE’ from the book of Matthew 5:16.
Our vision is to provide every child with the opportunity to light their light shine no matter what their passions or goals are.
Our vision is to welcome, nurture and enable all to flourish and develop as unique individuals who share their gifts and talents with each other and the wider world. We provide an environment where pupils are challenged and supported to achieve their full potential, guided by Christian values.
Our school community, including governors, parents, children and staff, have chosen 6 core Christian values which underpin all that we set out to achieve.They include:
St Peter’s Church of England Academy is ‘Voluntary Controlled’ and caters for both boys and girls between seven and eleven years of age.
Our school has a very long history, stretching back over three hundred years, beginning its life in the Chantry of St Peter’s Church in 1704.
The purpose-built accommodation next to Manor School Sports College in Mountbatten Way is now the home to our school. We currently have 205 pupils on roll that enjoy a broad and balanced curriculum which leaves them well prepared for the secondary phase of their education.
