Class Blog – 19th February 2018
St Christopher have come back ready for another exciting term with lots of fun and exciting opportunities. We will be continuing to explore ‘The Iron Man’ by Ted Hughes in English lessons and we will move on to writing our own version of the story! We will be exploring mountains and volcanos in geography and discovering all about how they work. We are looking at making money bags fit for a Tudor monarch in DT and practising our sewing skills! In Science, we are exploring light including how it travels and how shadows are made.
We hope that you all have a fabulous time experiencing all of the exciting things we have planned!
All children are expected to read regularly every week; each time they read, they will receive raffle tickets. When they have read 5 times, they will receive raffle tickets and a merit, which will count towards their house. Other prizes for reading will be given in class throughout the year.
Could you please ensure that your child brings their home/school planner in to school every day. Please feel free to write any comments in it.
Every Friday your child will bring their planner home which will have been signed by their teacher. This should be countersigned by the parent/carer and returned to school again on Monday morning.
