Class Blog – 28th April 2018
Welcome back St Christopher!
We have returned back from a rainy but relaxing and enjoyable Easter break ready for the summer term! The children have come back to school eager for our new topics and exciting opportunities taking place.
Our new geography topic is South America and a fun filled WOW day was a great start to this interesting topic, tasting foods and making headdresses fit for a carnival! In DT we will be producing puppets ready to put on a puppet show at the end of the term. The new book we will be studying is ‘The Tin Forest’ which the children are already enthused about and already producing some fantastic work which we will look forward to sharing with you!
This term will be filled with brilliant things to look forward to; visits from team GB athletes, our whole school trip to Twycross zoo and many sporting competitions.
I look forward to another fantastic term!
All children are expected to read regularly every week; each time they read, they will receive raffle tickets. When they have read 5 times, they will receive raffle tickets and a merit, which will count towards their house. Other prizes for reading will be given in class throughout the year.
Could you please ensure that your child brings their home/school planner in to school every day. Please feel free to write any comments in it.
Every Friday your child will bring their planner home which will have been signed by their teacher. This should be countersigned by the parent/carer and returned to school again on Monday morning.
