Happy New Year!

We have welcomed the children back to school and are now ready to begin this year’s learning journey. The children will be investigating changing in states of matter and light in the coming term which will include many more investigations. We know the children love to get involved and be part of this so we have listened and planned in lots of opportunities for them to get their hands messy!

We will explore the Tudors in history; Henry VIII had so many wives!  In geography we will research mountains and volcanoes so if you have ever been to one, please come and share any photos you have. In art we are looking at relationships and plan to do some portrait drawings experimenting with colour and light.

We will come you informed of any changes or additions to the journey this term and hope that you enjoy all the experiences ahead.

Miss Innes

All children are expected to read regularly every week; each time they read, they will receive raffle tickets.  When they have read 5 times, they will receive raffle tickets and a merit, which will count towards their house.  Other prizes for reading will be given in class throughout the year.

Home/School Planner

Could you please ensure that your child brings their home/school planner in to school every day. Please feel free to write any comments in it.

Every Friday your child will bring their planner home which will have been signed by their teacher. This should be countersigned by the parent/carer and returned to school again on Monday morning.
