Important Message from Manor Learning Trust
I hope you are well and enjoyed your half-term break. I wanted to personally write to you to give you an update on the leadership of St Peter’s CE Academy.
As you know, the school has been looking for a new Principal over recent months. Despite having a number of good candidates, we haven’t found the person that we believe has the skills, experience and values that are right for the continued success of our school.
I am delighted to tell you, however, that we have managed to secure the support of Mrs Lisa Jeffery from Raunds Park Infant School to help lead the school for the foreseeable future.
We think this is a very exciting option. Many of our children already know Mrs Jeffery and I know she is looking forward to working with her former pupils again too. In the latest Ofsted report, the leadership of Park Infants was described as ‘aspirational for pupils and committed to the continued improvement of the school” and was praised for ‘the warm and welcoming family atmosphere which you have created”. These are the qualities that Mrs Folkard and the rest of our staff have worked so hard to instil, and we know that Mrs Jeffery will continue.
Although the two schools have always worked closely together, Mrs Jefferey will also be able to build on this so that best practice, ideas and resources can be better shared.
Mrs Jeffery will be at St Peter’s for half of her week from now until at least the end of the Christmas term. Given how close Park Infants is, there is flexibility as to exactly when she will spend time at each of the schools.
When she is at Park Infants then Mr Innes will deputise in her absence and should be your first point of contact for any help or support you may need.
While I appreciate that this is a change from how the school is currently led, we are excited about the possibilities that this interim solution offers while we continue our search for a permanent Principal.
